Hi, I’m Kellie.

I am a creative, tactile, collaborative innovator.

I’m also an artist, an researcher, a teacher, and a connoisseur of terrible puns.

What it really comes down to, is that I'm fascinated by the intersections of art, technology, and human experience.

I am currently a PhD fellow in Human Centred Computing at the University of Copenhagen, Department of Computer Science. My research, which is part of the multi-institution project ReWork: The Future of Hybrid Work, explores Research through Art as an approach in the field of Computer Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW).

Prior to my doctoral studies in Denmark, I completed my master’s degree in Human Centered Design & Engineering in June of 2020. In my masters education, I focused particularly on digital fabrication, e-textiles, UX and qualitative research. HCDE brought my values as an artist into fresh collaborative and technical endeavors.

I have a deep professional background in soft goods fabrication and human-focused art and craft, as a specialized costume artisan/fabricator for performing arts companies across the US since 2001. My work for performing artists is always anchored in the values of user comfort, durability, ingenuity with materials, and meticulous attention to detail. Additionally, these years in the theatre fostered my love and curiosity for collaborative work and workspaces.

I am always seeking new opportunities to apply my creative skills in cross-disciplinary technology contexts! Feel free to get in touch!
